Lately, I have been very interested in teaching the kids how to “do for themselves” as much as possible. In the mornings I put out a few small cutting boards and harmless butter knives and let them cut their own strawberries (or other food I’d normally cut up for them). I let them do their thing and later on help them to recover a lot of the good parts they missed. P.S. I mixed in Elderberry concentrate (antioxidant powerhouse) into their maple syrup, and they didn’t blink an eye. Win.
